i would plan out everything first, then determine if headers are worth it. they pretty expensive compared to other mods, JBAs are like around $400+, on a stock engine, you wont see gains worth justifying the cost, but if you plan on changing the engine and such its definitely worth it.

^But if I change the engine wouldn't that require new headers? unless I get another 4 bagner... lol maybe a 4G63 Turbo...

what he means when change the engine is adding forced induction basically. headers on a basically stock engine you not see a justifiable gain per cost unless you turbo or supercharge the engine.

^exactly, also included in changing the engine would by changing the internals, changing camshafts, roller rockers, etc that might make it perform out of the ranger of the stock headers. but your stock headers were designed for that engine in your truck as is right now, changing headers wont be much improvement
