Hello everyone, I'm planning on doing a custom exhaust install on my 1994 3.0L V-6 Ranger this summer. And I was wondering what would it be sound wise if i were to take everything from the end of the second cataylatic converter out. Thus leaving both stock cats inplace, then i would proceed to run 2" pipe to a 2" inlet to 2" outlet Y-Pipe, then Dual 2" tail pipes over the axle. i'll be making 3" tips for the exhaust also.

I'm looking for it to be raspy, and rap alot when i take off. So essentially will just two cats be quiet enough not to get a ticket but still enough rap to sound good.

a kid i know has a 93-97 ranger with a 3.0 with stock cats and y-pipe straights and it has noise to it but not loud enough to get a ticket. im looking to the same thing on my 99 except only leave 1 cat remaining lol

that is what i plan on doing this summer too but i aint for sure yet

well im getting mine done on tuesday. im just leaving all the cats and cutting the muffler out and putting in a y-pipe and 2 3.5" tips at 45's. lol ill let ya know how it sounds
