Default Dummy O2 sensor???

Hey there, im bout to get a 99 ranger with a 3.0 and im gonna put exhaust on it. ive read that these trucks have 2 cats from the factory. Right now my plan is to cut both of the cats out and weld in a hi flow cat and have a y-pipe straight with dual 3.5" tips. I have read that by doing this i would throw codes left and right. so i was wondering if i put a dummy O2 sensor would it stop throwing codes??? Thanks for the help yall

Your 3.0 Ranger came from the factory with 4 or 5 cats, all of them high flow. I'd leave the cats alone and put the money toward a quality cat back system.

go 40 series Flowmaster single in dual out, you can add 3"-4" tips to deepend the sound, deeper the better...... dnt hack up the cats you'll hate the sound. it will sound awful.

as for sensors:
you can unplug 02 sensor, will increase horse power, but will cause cat failure/clog n will not pass emissions ..

heck if you want loud and will stand for no other, hack off the pipes right under the cab... prepare for ticket

If your good with soldering and such you can make a dummy o2 sensor with some resistors the thing is how fast they will burn out etc plus you have to know the correct resitance the 02 is putting out for a clean burn. Read more hastle then you want to deal with if you want to chop the cats do it run a full straight pipe put on a Flowmaster 10 series muffler they have a good growl. In the end though its all up to you.
