Default 1988 ford ranger 2.9 extended cab 4wd gas smell out exhaust and hard start?

already changed pcv valve,O2 sensor before catalic converter, changed injector fuel pressure regulator and internal fuel tank fuel pump. takes about 8-10 sec to start, like proper fuel pressure is not in fuel lines or proper start up sparking not taking place. any help greatly apreciated

Best thing to do is STOP. Stop throwing parts at it trying to fix it yourself. You've already wasted more time and money doing this. Most shops only charge 1 hours labor to determine what is going on.

It sounds kinda like one of your cylinders isn't firing. You might want to change the sparkplugs and maybe the point on the distributor if you have the old style but I would definitely take it to a shop and not try and do stuff by your self

spark. sounds like your not getting good spark on start up and that explains the gas smell too. id take your cap and rotor off and just use some emery to clean them up and pull your plugs and look them over, clean them off a bit then see if it fixes anything. if not could be coil or other things. maybe timings off. like another person said quit throwing money into it. look at stuff before you replace it or take it in to get looked at. usually if something can be temporarily fixed (plugs, cap and rotor) when the problem happens again you can determine thats probably it. then replace it and see what happens
