Not an idea. I would just get a Flowmaster kit of some sort. and if you want the grumble get series 40 just saying.

this is all IMO

If you shop it out right you can pick up a 40 series for that much. I did

Go to Summit Racing-keyword- racing muffler
http://www.summitracing.com/search/?...0muffler&dds=1
I found what I wanted for a muffler that cost me $21.00. For a tailpipe I went all the way out the back with a stainless steel Magnaflow two piece for another $52.00. All 2.5 inch. This piece was one half of a catback for the right side of a dual system. I cut the flange at the rear of the cat and slid the muffler on. To make it work I had to go to NAPA and get a short piece of pipe about 12in. clamped that to the end of the muffler to get it all to fit right and some clamps.

It is plenty loud on the outside but better in the cab than right out the side the rear wheel. I replaced a Flowmaster dual out the side that tended to drone me out. I hope this helps.
