F150 Exhaust leak
My dad has had an exhaust leak on his 01 XLT for about a year now. Ford wanted like 1800 to fix it because the bolts snap and need to be tapped. Any suggestions on what we should do? I know its FRF but we need help and I dont know who else to ask...thanks

how is the bolt snapped ? if there is a decent amount of it showing you may be able to weld a nut onto it and take it out that way

Are you talking on the head side or on the down pipe side...?
And has that got the 5.4/4.6...? Should have aluminum heads so the bolts shouldn't be impossible to get out. In any event I would lube them down with PB Blaster for a week, maybe twice a day even for a week. There also is this stuff I have heard of, can't remember the name but it goes on ice cold then heats up, I guess its kinda like icy hot lol
