Default 3" cat back

Just hunting for answers my cat back is rusted and falling off my 00' 4.0 ohv and i was wondering if a three inch cat back would be to big or if it would cause any back pressure problems?

Some input would be nice tried some of a few things off of what locals told me to do and already gernaded my other ranger motor so i figure to listin to more then locals.

3" is too big, 2.25 or 2.5" is perfect piping size for a ranger

Too big unless you're turbocharged. stick with the 2.25/2.5 stock size. But of course you can upgrade the muffler.

Yeah i tried a 3 inch pipe and it was too laggy. The truck seemed to move a little bit more bogged down.

I now have 2.5 with a flotech muffler and it sounds great, and my truck seems to have a bit more power over the stock exhaust.

Hey I question about my ranger,im not sure it falls under this category, but almost eveytime I start my truck which has an flowmaster exhaust system which usually tends to be quiet but when I turn my off truck then crank back up again the exhaust is louder.does anybody no why this happening?
