Anyone do this ? pictures ? Experiences ? How does it sound ?

Unless you're looking at significant power gains, the likely hood of gaining power alone with a just more open free flowing exhaust alone would be a false prediction. You will kill of mid/upper end Tq levels.
More free flowing headers will change more as well as move the shift points a little bit and improve power and depending on your tastes in sound which tbh is a LOT like how most men choose what IS or ISNT a cute or hot girl.. then I'd pick one or the other depending on power adders now or future.
i.g. if you were considering turbo charging the truck, sure, you may find a slight "tunable" advantage with true dual exhaust but at the same time look at cars that make huge power gains with a single exhaust pipe running back. Very few if only a couple cars stock production can say touch the GTR.. yea i know, its a computer on wheels but its a perfect example of a single pipe exhaust setup to a single input muffler and dual output and it runs like a raped ape all day long.
Whats common in what i would call Fast-car lore is seeing the aesthetics of a dual matching exhaust tips but as i said, without addition of either mechanical or liquid forced induction you may make a couple Hp but there's certainly a greater risk of losing Hp & Tq.
I would not likely dissuade you from doing what you want to do, but i would strongly suggest that if your after more of a look than a loss incurring a fair amount of time and money to not have a reasonable performance gain. I'd put my monies into other things.
Even when I sold products to the tuner crowd for a decade or so< i would tell all my guys what you plan on doing with bolt-ons to your car, you won't even use all of the stock exhaust capabilities it has now. Proof in the pudding - 94 Civic Hatchie with all motor B18C from a rolled Type R integra kept the weenie looking pea-shooter exhaust.
It ate 2.5" (60mm) catback, 4" tipped, Angry bee's in a can, shit boxes, all day with twice the mods or more... Sometimes less is more and we tend to inherently want to feed our emotions more so than what logic or rationale will dictate. Some were even running boost and that car killed them even when matched with similar cars and power to weight ratios.. its all about the setup as a whole.
just my perspective and $ .02
