Default Expected lifespan of a plain Jane 4cyl 2010?

I just flipped 100k. There's a rattle that sounds like a loose heat shield but also the slightest bit of "throaty" sound. I'm thinking a failed gasket?

As a general rule of thumb, what's the expected lifespan of a 4cyl Plain Jane 2010 Ranger?

The Ford dealer terrifies me. Any suggestions of ~2010 Ranger exhaust? Replace everything; replace pieces?

Thanks.

Probably the gasket between the cat and muffler is blown out, mine went a few years ago. I just took what was left out and put new bolts in with no gasket worked fine. You'll be good for awhile then the flange will rust out, then you'll need an adaptor and a couple clamps.
