Default Exhaust Rattle

I don't know if this is the right spot for this, but ever since I got my truck a couple months back I've had an obvious heatshield sounding rattle. I got under and checked out the entire length and I cant really find the exact spot that might make that noise. Any tips on this?

Also, the rear part of my exhaust kind of clanks most likely due to loose hangars but I haven't inspected it too far yet. How have you guys fixed these sort of problems in the past?

there are lots of youtube vids for heatshield rattle. I did this on a Honda pilot by using the large hose clamp method. Even if you can't feel the rattle, when driving it might rattle.

As for anything else, you really have to crawl under and see what is rattling by wiggling things and if they can be clamped, then can, but muffler I believe has a bent metal rod to hold it with a rubber spacer. You could improvise and not need that OEM part but I wouldn't use anything flimsy or not heat resistant. I think I've seen people use duct tape lol don't do that. You might be able to use large enough hose clamps or something like metal plumbing straps. but make sure they are stainless to prevent rusting out.

2 large clamps that will go all around the cat and snug it up. I've done that plenty of times.

Could it possibly be something inside my exhaust system? I've tried to find the source of the noise multiple times, thinking I might find something new. Can't find it.

Should I go ahead and wrap the cat anyways? And should I do it on the front or back cat?

Yes. Muffler coming apart inside (corrosion) or less likely, a cat (odds go up if there's been a problem that can adversely affect the life of the cat).

I found a sheet of super rusted metal laying on my pipe. I took it off, and although it seems like the sound is a little bit better, there's differently still a rattle. It kind of sounds like a bunch of small rocks in a tin can being thrown around.
I took a look at my hangars, and the back one is really loose and messed up, which I think might be causing the noise. I'm still not entirely sure if that is where the sound is coming from. It sounds like if you hit a pan with a wooden spoon.

It might just come down to me getting a new system altogether and replacing the hangars I guess.
