Exclamation 1992 V6 2.9L True dual?

Alright, so I gutted the cat, and have about 24 inches of pipe after that. It runs a hell of a lot better because my cat was pretty much disintegrated on the inside. Now my question is, would true dual exhaust be a good idea? Since it only a v6 2.9l with small displacement, I'm thinking my back pressure would actually worsen because of having it run through two separate pipes. Thoughts?

If performance is your goal, I'd go with the R&D already done by a major manufacturer and get a prefab kit. Something like a Gibson. Not sure if something like that is available in a dual configuration though. No sense making yourself the expensive guinea pig when someone else has done the work. If you just want the look of duals, then I'd think splitting from the muffler back would be a cheaper alternative.
