Default End of the month quota means state patrol is cracking down

Got nailed last night.

But didn't mention my missing rear bumper...

Minnesota statue requires a muffler but no decibel limit. So I ordered up one of these...

Having it necked down to fit my truck.

That one is for next time. Smart cop, prioritizing his battles and preserving future options, unless it gets rear ended at 15MPH and totaled first.

A written warning isn't really "nailed", lol

I'm not sure a bumper is required?

Never heard of anyone getting a ticket with a roll pan. Maybe your state is different.

I've heard from several leo's they have no quotas....

i know there is (or was) a maximum bumper height requirement in oklahoma lol, but i don't recall a bumper requirement...

long time ago, i drove away from an accident which required me to remove the front bumper. the officer didn't seem to care lol

in my experience, leaving your accident sight they don't really care but MI likes you to have some attempt at a bumper, a steel tube, 2x4s, a log (actually seen 3 or 4 times), a roll pan or a bumper

Don't play games with the LEOs, you won't win.

The most comical part of this whole deal, based on what OP himself has said, is that he has not even a single clue in the least what the real reason for the stop nor how his fixit ticket (fixit, and not a "real" equipment violation ticket) fit into the grand scheme of it all.

I am really debating on whether I want to weigh in on this thread at all yet...

Traffic tickets are all fraudulent, so is there kangaroo courts.. even the ticket says its a Statutory code you broke, not a law. Its a revenue generating scheme and the sheep will get sheared every time sadly.. Cant even get into how many rights violations the officer committed just to give you a citation where they will further continue to deny you your due process, or your 6th & 7th amendment right if you will. lets not count the 4th, 5th, at the time of the stop itself... smh

----------

Did you ask him how many Harly Davidson Motorcycles he pulls over on a daily routine? lol

Doesn't seem like you're debating whether you want to weigh in or not to me

So how do you get out of it? Is it really worth fighting a fix it ticket? Sure it's annoying at 5am on my way to work when I'm running late, very few cars on the road, and I can't go 65 in a 50 but it's a small price to pay for the idiots that leo's (try) to deal with and keep at bay. They have to charge money to help pay for leo's salary, and without people giving up their beloved money there is no accountability. Unless jail is better than paying a little fine? Let's not forget, he got a fix it ticket. He doesn't have to pay shit. I'm not saying it's not a bs ticket, but it's not like his life was seriously impacted either.

Moral of the story is, if common sense was common, we wouldn't need police, and we wouldn't get bs tickets.

The difference in your last point, is a harley sounds good. A 3.0 straight piped doesn't. On top of that, most people hear you before they see you. Most leo's know that, since they're usually picking up the pieces when a Biker isn't seen or heard.

I would have let him go because his license plate rhymes. Warning, no ticket.
