Default 2005 4.0 V6 Extended Cab 6' Bed Exhaust Question

Hey everyone. I'm just now starting to do some digging in for replacing the stock exhaust on my ranger. Right now it's hanging in there with some JBweld until I get this replaced.

I was looking around on the forums but couldn't find anything to really break a choice down for me as I'm just starting to research. I have a mechanic who is able to help me put the new exhaust on (friend of the family), I just didn't want to take up more of his limited time to research and find this out for me when I'm basically going to be paying him in beer (his choice) for the work.

After looking around and watching some videos I was leaning on going towards picking up a Flowmaster Super 44, Super 40, or 40 Series Delta Flow.

I found this while looking around at a bunch of different retailers.

The only thing is I do not like the muffler choice that comes with the kit. Which leads to my next question...

Are there universal pipe kits that I could buy with the muffler I want to get this to work?

I apologize if there is a thread covering this out there. I've been digging but haven't found anything as in depth as I'm looking? Or maybe I'm digging deeper than I need to. I try and find as much info out as I can before shopping around. I've had issues with small mechanic shops and businesses not being honest in the past or else I would just go and pay to have it all done.

Just cut the muffler off and run it out the side. It's cheap and sounds decent
