Hey yall, wondering what a good replacement muffler would be for my 2004 4.0. Looked under my truck today and saw a big ole hole rotted in the front end of the muffler so once spring rolls around I'll be wanting to replace it. I'd love a muffler that will sound a little louder, but a regular replacement would be just fine. Not sure if this matters, but it'll have to pass CT emissions for the forseeable future so I don't think I can just delete it.

I deleted mine and it's sounds great. I think in most states you just need the cats.

I know CT is tough for emissions and I do believe you need a muffler and it will fail for a delete.

Thrush welded sounds good IMO. Just stay away from the Thrush turbo. It's about 40 bucks cheaper and is made with rolled steel as opposed to welded. It sounds like a beehive.
