Default Need Part Number Help - '98 3.0L with Non-Cat Y-Pipe

Hi,

Can anyone help me with part numbers for a Y-Pipe for my '98 3.0L 4x4 Short Cab that does not have catalytic converters in the Y-Pipe?

I have multiple exhaust leaks on my truck, and am looking to replace the whole system including manifolds for peace of mind and ease of installation. (May go with a side exit exhaust for fun)

My challenge is that I am positive that my Y-Pipe does not have catalytic converters (I can post pictures) but I cannot find a non-cat version available for sale. The only catalytic converters I see are on the single pipe between the Y-pipe merge and the intermediate pipe.

Thanks in advance!

Thumbs up Re: Need Part Number Help - '98 3.0L with Non-Cat Y-Pipe

Yes, the cats are after the Y pipe on a 3.0L, as mine was clogged, and I had a test pipe made to replace them.

Will try to remember to get you a PN# tomorrow at work, I know the base for the muffler is 5230, 5E212 for cats, and 9430 for manifolds, but can't remember the pipe#.

I stand corrected! 93-97's had the Y-pipe without cats, but 98up had cats in the Y-pipe. SORRY!

Not sure if the Y's are the same design as the 98up had upstream & downstream O2 sensors and the 97back didn't have but 1 O2 sensor I believe.

Hmmm. Well I can confirm my '98 has a catless Y-pipe - I will post up some pictures.
I would have to double check but I think it is a December '97 build date.

I can see for sure that I have a passenger side O2 sensor on the Y-pipe. And that would make sense because I get a "Bank 2" lean code and know the driver side manifold gasket is leaking badly.
