Hey guys. Im not new here but havent posted much in the past.

I've been doing research and reading everyones posts about exhaust and mufflers.

I am looking at the cat back kits and really am undecided on which to get?

I have a 2005 xlt extra cab 6ft bed v6 4.0.

Like most im looking for that deep grrooowl but i dont want to be obnoxiously loud, unless i have to be.

i know it has a lot to do with preference but would just like some guidance.

have about $350 for a budget.

Hey,
I have an '04 FX4 Off road with 6' bed. Just put the Dynomax Ultra Flo SS on mine and it has a decent growl to it. It gave me noticeable throttle response in the positive. Mpg's are better and the price paid online with pickup in store was around $140 after coupon code at advance auto! Give me your email in a pm and you can hear my before and after recordings!

One word, GIBSON... Just love Mine.

Gibson style 9704. Parts Geek or AutoAnything has them. I got mine from AutoAnything

I still have stock air cleaner, No other mod's.

No I don't. When I first put the system on it was kinda mellow. but the more I drove it, it got deeper and louder. For a 3.0 it sounds pretty healthy.The only thing that sounds better is my mustang.

I've got a 24" glass pack with a 3" turndown right after, and it's noticeably louder, no rice, no drone, and it was like 70 bones. That's after I had someone install it.
