Hey all, I've got a 2003 4.0 XLT 4x4 and I'm looking into redoing the exhaust. Thinking about going to duals with a high flow cat and flowmaster 10 or 40 (haven't decided). Any problems, solutions, or thoughts I should know about? Any help is appreciated!

I'm just not a fan at all with my stock cats, and they're starting to rust out. So figured might as well change it.

if they're rusting out really bad, then its your call to replace or not. if they're in any way structurally sound i would keep them. they're better quality than most aftermarket or "high flow" cat, and you wont see any performance gains from switching to them.

For what it's worth, the aftermarket cats I switched to were significantly lighter than stock. That alone makes it worthwhile in my book, but it really depends on whether or not weight loss is that much of a factor. If you have a 4x4 extended cab or something, then I doubt weight is of primary concern.

Anyway, Gibson's dual exhaust has proven to be a really good bolt-on option. Just keep in mind that it's designed exclusively for extended cab. I assume you already have that, but if not, it will not fit without some modification.
