Don't do fake dual pipes on a 4 cyl. Just go from the last cat back with single 2.5" pipe and the freeflow muffler of choice. Magnaflow is good.

Gibson split-rear sounds delicious on the 2.3L Duratec. I have no clue what the Lima would sound like with it though.

Here's a sound clip of my old 1990 2.3L Mustang. I had a long tube header, factory main cat, Y pipe split to two Flowmaster original 40's, and dual pipes out the back. It honestly sounded more like a V6 than a 4 cylinder if you kept it under 3000 RPM.

I started out with a single Flowmaster 40 cat back (everything else stock) with a 18" long 3.5" tip and it sounded really good too. No sound clip of that though. You can actually make the 4 cylinder sound decent with a Flowmaster.

Not. Sounds like a 2.3 with too much pipe.

I know it sounds weird but the new Vortex muffler by cherry bomb sounds very nice. They kinda took a flowmaster approach but went a step further and added some packing to help resonance in the cab. Hooker Aero Chambers are also very nice but a little more expensive.
