Default catback vs muffler

hey everyone! im going to get a exhuast system but i dont have alot of money. ive been looking at the cherry bomb mufflers and the flowmaster 40 and 44. i have been wondering what the difference is between a full catback system or just cutting off the stock muffler and welding an aftermarket one on? also ive been reading and some people have been talking about tailpipe length, bends, and tuning after new exhuast and wondering if a retune is necessary and what you recomend as to the way i route the new pipes if a full catback is the way i go? your experience would be greatly appreciated!! when i get it on i will give a full review im just trying to learn more about this stuff!! thanks

depends on how loud u want it and how much u want to spend. You said you dont have alot of money so you should probably just get a aftermarket muffler then you can always redo the piping later. Out of them 3 i would go with the super 44. cherrybombs burn up and start sounding like crap most of the time and super 44 beats super 40. You can get a super 44 on ebay for $68 with free shipping

No, you dont have to get your stock 3.0 tuned for exhaust...Its 99.9% for sound...People will argue all day about if you get performance gains from it.

cherrybomb makes ALOT of stuff other then glasspacks that won't burn up and will sound great all the time.

If your on a budget get the muffler and have it welded in place of the old one. If you can't do it yourself it shouldn't be more then about $20-$30 for an exhaust or welding shop to it.

when i got my exhaust done it cost me 200$ basically after the cats where the old muffler was the exhaust guy cut off and welded in a 2 1/4 pipe that goes to a flo pro muffler witch then is turned to come out before the rear tire with a 4" inch tip. when i drive it sounds good. its not loud unless im really getting on it but its got a good deep sound to it and on long drives i hardly notice any noise from my exhaust.
