Hey everybody im new to this forum, ive driven a 2001 ford ranger edge 4.0l
v6 for about 3 years now and it is still bone stock, i am looking to start modding and am thinking of exhaust. i have a 6 foot bed and was wondering what you guys that have similar trucks have for your exhaust systems, ive been looking at gibson but dont know all that much about the options available to me. any input will be a great help. thanks guys look forward to meeting a lot of great ranger fans on here.

I have the same truck as you, only mines not an edge. its a 2wd XLT and I have full 2.5 inch piping with a single chamber magnaflow (1 in - 2 out) with dual angle cut tips on there side that come out before the right rear tire. its not super loud, but its gotta nice grumble to it. Its all about personal preference!

I've heard that Gibson on these trucks sound well too and flowmasters are loud! lol just remember, its all personal preference!

Ive got a 3.0 with a flowmaster super 44 and it sounds great. Calm rumble at idol and aggressive muscle roar at hard acceleration. Ive also heard that magnaflow is good and gibson seems to be a favorite with Ranger owners. Im a flowmaster guy and for me thats my favorite exhaust on any ford!

I run gibson on my 3.0. Good all around sound without being too loud on the freeway. Good throaty sound when accelerating at wot. Mine is 2 1/2 single in and out.
