Default Lets talk about good exhaust systems to replace stock.

I have the JBA Cat-Back exhaust system installed on my truck and I don't think I could ever be happier, ever. While it does not give the sound of a true V8, no muffler / tubing ever will, it gets the closest I have ever heard. While at low acceleration it gives off a very considerate rumble that won't wake the neighbors, at moderate acceleration it becomes more noticable, at harder acceleration (Freeway on ramps) the exhaust seems to sing.
This is my favorite exhaust for the reasons above and it does not kill your ears inside the cab. Conversations can be had at normal volumes, music can be heard clearer with reasonable volume, and on highway trips it does not become annoying.
The install was the easiest install I have ever done, though you WILL need to drill the holes out slightly on the newer system AND replace your exhaust gasket, the hardest part was getting the older system off. The tone of the exhaust has not been changed in the three years that I have had it, which also is a plus, since fiberglass mufflers are known to have depleating results.
If you have a 4.0 Ranger I would very strongly suggest you not burn your money searching through all the other exhaust systems and invest your money in quality with the JBA Cat-Back.

Thank you for your time. I hope this helps those of you looking for better sound and preformance.

Can you get a sound clip? I will never get that since I just dumped my flow 40, and not really wanting to spend more than the $50 I did, but definitely interested in how it sounds.

Google Camburg and listen to their 4.0 Edge project truck. It's the same exhaust...
