My 87 Ranger has 296,000 original miles! I would love to hit 300,000-mi. Being so close to my goal, I'm not going to let a shift lever stop me now! I would prefer a new one, but at this point, a descent used one is O.K! Thanks! Elwood

On a side note, are the late 80s early 90s model of mazda trucks built by Ford? I heard that many of the hardcore Mazda people were not happy when Ford started making them....?

Well it appears that the shifter problem you had was solved, I am going to rebuild this truck and give it to my son. Sorry for offering and recending but I have recently learned that I can get a new cab for the same price the transmission would cost.....
