Default Slave Cylinder

I know this is off topic but seems people look at yours, So I've had a 02 ranger edge 4.0 5 speed for a year and the slave cylinder for the clutch just went out. I've heard these can be a problem and want to fix it right so it lasts. What is the best brand/ brands and what else should I think about replacing while I'm at it. Truck has almost 70,000 miles. Please help. Thx.

----------

Motocraft? Advanced auto(perfection I think) or luk? Help plz

Motorcraft was the reply you got from DJ.

Personally, look for a brand that has a sleeve over the piston part of the slave cylinder that will keep contaminants away from the parts that normally start leaking..

$1,200 is a RIP OFF for a slave cylinder job.

It's a two hour driveway job if you know your way around a wrench.

I just paid $300 to get a slave replaced on my 94 before I sold it.
