Thats just the install kit. No actual supercharger.

Slight detail lol still allows you to do it! I kind wish I had the SOHC at the moment lol

Dude there is a 4.5L stroker kit out there for your OHV. I'd do that instead lol.

How much boost will the 4.0 bottom end take AND stay reliable? If ya want more power, do a 5.0 swap. That way you have better reliability, now worse. Plus our 4.0s already drink the gas as it is, a blower would make you cry at the pump.

My 2 cents.

I'm running 10lbs on my 95 4.0 with 256,600 miles on the original motor and it's running well. I'm getting the stock lower intake ported and then I'll be installing that with 36lb inj, Lightning 90 MAF with SCT tuner from Lasota. I'm expecting another 1-2 mpg when I'm done. I'm averaging 20 mpg right now. The bottom end seems to able to handle at least 10lbs of boost so far.

From my boost experience...any engine can handle to about 12 lbs of boost safely and reliably all day for YEARS as long as you tune it and maintain it. I want the SC, and I like my 4.0. 5.0 swap I can do, but that's a lot of work...I work an average of 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week...explain to me where I have time in there to do a 5.0 swap? I don't sleep much, but I still like me time, and I have a household to clean, and maintain. Superchargers and turbos when tuned right, get as good or better then a stock engine in some cases, if you are building for outright power...that's what you are going to get. Now look at the Ecoboost engine in the Taurus SHO as an example. 365 hp, and something like 32 mpg...boosted...that's the way to be!

----------

Side note...if you spot a supercharger for the OHV...tell me! I want it!

Here's an idea. You want more power then a 4.0, buy a bigger truck and save yourself the time and $. =)
