Default WANTED: Front Sway Bar Mount TTB

I've got an '83 that did not come with a front sway bar.

I was able to pull a junkyard front sway bar but I need the brackets actually hold the end of the link to the arm of the TTB suspension. I believe it has a bolt hole that the bottom of the coil spring goes onto and a bolt hole on the bottom of the TTB arm, then a bolt hole for the sway bar end link to attach to.

If you have 'em let me know.

Saul

You have the i beam suspension in the front correct , why not try and find a newer truck that has the i beams and measure the part you need and see if it the same dimensions are what you need for your truck

good luck. They bolt on, but on top and bottom of the TTB,TIB. Its a PITA to get at them, the spring would have to come out, and the bolt has to come out. I don't know if anyone would be willing to strip one from a bone yard. Let alone youd have to do the same on yours to get it on. I think it be easier to build a mount and weld it on!

Got em!
Trudging through a junkyard today I saw some on a 2WD (no idea if they are different, but figured I'd stick with same as mine).

Took about 20min to get each side out. Removed upper shock bolt for droop, removed lower bolt with a socket and battery powered impact. Droop allowed getting a socket/impact on the tob bolt as well. Pulled the top bolt and then had to unthread the whole bolt/stud (good thing I brought the deepwell sockets!). The 2bolts on the front were already out (someone beat me to it).

Thanks for the info on how they go in, made it a breeze, should have my swaybar on in an hr now.
