I need a 4.0 v6 for a 05 ranger that doesn’t cost my left nut

Snow belt Salvage yards are more expensive than warmer states usually for parts because they know you need them.

Don't want to get to personal about the sentimental value of your left nut but whats the budget and expectations you have?

And here's the other issue you're going to face. Whats your timing like for a call to action assuming the part, time, and price is mostly right? Are you ready to make a buy right now or are you going to need to think about it for a week only to pass an opportunity?

Not talking in the sense that something doesn't make sense to you, I'm saying you're within $50-100 of a budget and all the rest of the stars line up can you pull the trigger or do you have to console your wallet/check in with the Governor?

On the flipside of the coin - Whats wrong with the old engine that it seems unreasonable or not lesser expensive to repair it? Is it the time or tooling? Something else?
