Default Price Drop! built 4.0 OHV V6, 5R55E trans, & M90 supercharger kit.

Hey guys, I am looking to sell my 4.0 OHV V6, 5R55E auto transmission, and my M90 supercharger kit. I recently had the engine rebuilt machining the whole short block and replaced all the parts listed below, entire engine is brand new except for the crank and rods. I have all receipts for the parts as well. 3 angle valve job was done, New Smith Bros 5.525 pushrods, & all cylinders were .030 overbore and piston rings gapped for boost application as this was going to be a m90 supercharged build. We installed a new water pump. Has provisions to run an E-fan if desired (In use now). Intake is a 66mm BBK throttle body and exhaust has JBA shorty headers. The engine itself now has 3.4k miles on it since the rebuild. Amsoil break in fluid was used for first 1,000 miles. Since then the engine has only seen Amsoil 5W-30 signature series synthetic with Wix oil filters and has been changed out 3 times including last oil change a month ago. Parts list:

Comp cams valve springs 988-12
Sealed power timing chain sets KT-4028S
Comp cams high energy camshafts 49-422-8
Sealed power steel rocker arms R1092
Brand new 98tm Heads both ported & polished (gasket matched)
FEL-PRO544SD Felpro gaskets used all around
ARP Head studs used
Speed-Pro Hypereutectic pistons H879CP .50MM

Sealed power performance piston ring sets E-613K50MM

feeling the water on this one. I'm looking to get $1,200USD OBO for the engine. Not sure how much shipping would actually be but would be on the buyers dime. It's currently still inside my truck. If someone is close by and wants to test drive that is cool with me. located in whittier, CA

The transmission just had a repair done about a year ago and a once over on everything else. still shifts nice and firm. looking to get $500USD for it.

we were planning on adapting the plenum to work with a gen 5 m90 but we ran into some complications so it will still only work with a gen 3. here are some images of what i have. purple m90 is gen 3 and gray is a refurbished gen 5. $800 USD for the whole kit you see. Dm me if you have any questions or are interested. here are some pics of the engine before installation & supercharger kit.

Hey Danny, so i believe this kit works for all 4.0 OHV models from 1990-2000. the kit itself will bolt right on and replace the upper intake. Threads on a different forum doing a similar build have noted that the water neck needs to be massaged a bit and the oil filler neck shortened a bit as well. I built this engine specifically to run the m90 kit that i have. depending on how much boost you plan to run an intercooler might be a good idea. Anything above 7 or 8 lb you would probably want to think of options to keep the temps lower.

If I were to go this way, I believe I would not go higher than that. I remember someone telling me that a modest 5 or 6 lbs of boost gives the desired , modest HP increase while maintaining engine longevity.

I am still not sure if a super charger is the way i want to go . I just know that i would like a little more power for Towing. But based on everything someone that told me , my transmission might be the weak link for any route i go.

Thats all going to depend on which transmission you have in the truck and how much you are towing haha

Regardless, I've still got the supercharger so let me know if you have any further questions 😁

I have a 1993 4.0 supercab, stock four-wheel drive automatic, with just over 94 thousand miler on the odometer. Purchased the truck 2 years ago and the valve covers looked brand new.
I hope to be hauling a travel trailer and a 7x10 enclosed trailer with landscape, plumbing and carpentry equipment
Haven't purchased a travel trailer yet, but I'de like to tow a travel trailer.
Looking for a small travel trailer I guess. Google tells me about my Ranger that "Standard towing capacity was 2360 lbs, while maximum capacity was 5760 lbs" so that, and price is governing my purchase decision.
