Disconnect the battery and charge it.

Pull every fuse not needed to crank and run the truck. Reconnect the battery and let the truck sit overnight. Is the battery run down?

Plug in a few more fuses every day (around your schedule using the truck). In a few days you should have it narrowed where the problem is.

That's the best way to figure it out without a multimeter.

what I use to do was with a charged battery. Start pulling fuses one at a time pop it back in if theres a short when you put the fuse back in that fuse will spark.. Inless its the starter. And of course the dome light cause having the door open..

My starter isn't engaging when I jump it at the silinoid and there is play in the silinoid problem could that be draining my battery? But I still have a problem getting power from the battery to silinoid and starter relay is clicking? Could that be the play in the silinoid also or no?

The job of the solenoid circuit is to pull the starter gear to the flywheel. That's it. Then the heavy starter wires cause the starter motor to spin. The starter has to push against the compression of the engine.

Which one is causing trouble? The solenoid or the starter?
