Red face Need some help on Instrument cluster lighting, they don't work

Hello. I have a 95 Ford Ranger and a lot of electrical isuees. One I can't seem get the instrument lights to work. I've checked the bulbs and some of the wiring "only what I can reach", and I've checked the fuses. I've done some electrical work before in the army but on stuff that from the 80s and 70s. The board it self looks find, and there shouldn't be any shorts or open circuits.

I'm hoping that what ever is going on is something common and not out of the norm, and help would be awesome.

Fixed it. It had to do with the Dimmer swich next to the Head light swich. All I did was take it a part blow some air around it, put it back togather and bam. it works

Thanks for your info on the instrument cluster lights. My turn signals work but I don't have instrument lights so before I take out the cluster I'll try looking at the dimmer switch. Can you give me any tips?

Just look for any shorts, bare wires or burnt anything. If you have any of that replace the worn or damaged switch or wire. If its all covered in crap clean it up with compressed air and see if it works.

use a watch screwdriver there should be 4 very small screws. After opening the dimmer clean it out, I couldn't tell you if you can see any shorts because of how small the components are. Plus there on the other side of the broad that has nothing to do with what I cleaned.

What you should see is a little black haft curl that the wheel you turn sits on.
