im putting the plug to plug in the trailer lights but have no where to mount it. it is one of the 7 prong ones. everywhere i try to mount it its in the way. where would you guys mount it???

what do you mean by drag? do you mean like it hangs low so it might hit something?
if thats what you mean i have never had a problem with it hitting anything, the hitch ball is closer to the ground then the plug so the ball would hit first.

my 7 pin plug is on my hitch too, but there was a spot built into the hitch for it.

heres an old pic, its kinda hard to see but its next to the receiver on the drivers side.

i have done alot of off-roading and there was never any clearance issues with the plug
