I was wondering what you guys are using for the front turn signals & side marker lights as far as LED replacements.

Sent an email to v-leds.com & this is what they came back with

For the 3457AK front turn signals:

Alright everyone,

I ordered the LED's from V-LEDs mentioned above & installed them in my Ranger, along with the Tail/Brake Light LEDs & Third Brake light LED Mods that I purchased from JP7.

I'm not happy with the reliability of the AMBER 60 M-SMT PARK/TURN BULBS 3157 3156 4057 used for the front turn signal/parking lights.

One of the LED's didn't work at all (I did flip the LED around to switch polarity). I plugged in the second LED & that one worked. I sent an email to V-LED & received a response the next that that they would send out a replacement LED, which arrived today.

Drove the truck to work once (Saturday morning), and when I went out to go home from work, the other LED wasn't working. In both cases, when I plugged in the original incandescent bulb, the lights worked normally.

I'm going to plug in the replacement that I got today, but I am going to hold off on returning the defective ones for a week or so to see it this one will work.

Any ideas?

I have the 60smt's from VLEDs also. They aren't that bad but far from as good as the L1224R are. I suggest a full retrofit. Check out www.hidplanet.com for examples. They have a killer LED section.
