Cool undo trailer wiring

So,
I recently bought a new Ranger and everything works perfectly except one thing, the top brake light on the cab.

The previous owner said he towed and pulled alot of things so I'm assuming it's not coming on because it is still wired for trailer lights.

Can you please tell me how to undo the trailer wiring (since I've never done it before) or if there is another reason why the break light on the cab isn't coming on.

thanks!

Same thing on mine when I bought it.
Probably a Burnt bulb like mine was.
Vibrations seem to be a common issue for the bulbs.
The trailer light wiring has nothing to do with the third break light as far as I know!

My Ranger is wired for a trailer as well, and my 3rd brake light worked fine, once I replaced the bulb, like J did.

I had to replace mine twice in one year.
Part of the reason I went led.

it's very common for the 3rd brakelight bulb to burn out. a good temporary fix is to swap one of the cargo lights into the brakelight socket. very easy to fix and shouldin't have anything to do with a trailer wire harness.
