if your talking like the new cars where you dont even have to have the key in i wouldnt. my brother works at a dealer he said if the key is close by in the car or not it can start if its not in the car and you leave the house and get to the store and shut off the car you cant restart it.

Might be hard on the arms and legs, but if you get enough people behind you every time you'll get her going.

I think hes thinking more like the old cars and race cars where you flip a switch to activate the ignition then push a button to start. The whole key proximity thing for security is nice but like you said it could be glitchy, then again the one car I've been in that had that also wouldn't start unless it sensed weight in the driver seat and it worked great.

Theres a couple of places you could check, start at summit and jegs they'll have more of a racing style push button starters if you look under electrical and switches. Also I've seen a "kit" for newer mustangs that plugs into the ignition wiring harness and turns them into push start. Its about $125 though you'd probably spend close to that by the time you finished getting what you needed at summit.

Push button start

Also found this kit for a little less at jcwhitney, its universal and goes into the spot where the cigarette lighter is.

push button start

We had a rental that was a push button start. It was cool at first but then got annoying.

I felt the same way...if I was in something that had a full cage, racing seats, harness, and a whole mess of horsepower and i had to flip switches for fuel pump, fan, starter, etc...then push a button to hear it roar to life it would be different. But a little four banger front wheel drive suv that you push a button and can barely hear, not so exciting.
