Re: left corner light and brake light not working
The bulb may still be bad because some years have bulbs that serve a dual purpose. A rapid blink means bad turn signal bulb, so change it.

The bulb is good because I swapped the right tail light bulb with the left
Tail light bulb and the left tail light bulb was working.

Re: left corner light and brake light not working
Aren't corner lights in the front? Are you refering to the parking light? Also, a rapid blink means a bulb is burned out. Many people on here have questioned that, but a 'Search' button at the top right exists. Last, 'Google' may work. I have replaced many turn signal bulbs in my wife's Ford Edge and recently one in my Ranger, and each time, I had a rapid blink, a bulb was burnt out.
Edit: Aren't brake lights and taillights two different bulbs? You say that you switched the right tail light bulb into the left tail light connection, but the problem you have isn't your tail light. It is your left brake light. Could you have put the bulb in the wrong spot? I never had an 03' Ranger, so I forget when the Ranger had a 3 bulb vs. a 2 bulb set-up. Also, I forget what my 08' set-up is, but I would double-check your owner's manual. If you had an issue then you would have no brake lights or no tail lights or both, but not likely that one side 1/2 works all-of-a-sudden.

I tried making that point earlier because some Rangers have the 2 bulb setup and newer ones have the 3 bulb setup. Also, I asked if he was sure because he said that he took the right tail light bulb and placed it in the left tail light bulb with success. But, that isn't the issue. His issue is his "left brake light and left corner light", and since when is there a rear corner light? Corner lights are parking lights and in the front. If his parking lights are on, that should indicate that his tail lights are on. His brake lights should be a different bulb regardless of the 2 or 3 bulb setup. Personally, I think that he is confused, and there is a reason an owner's manual was written. Also, there are great resources available on this site and the internet in general.

The OP has an 03', and it still doesn't answer his question as to why one brake light, specifically the left, doesn't work along with the left corner light.

Re: left corner light and brake light not working
well i figured it out. it was none of the tail light bulb being out. there was a wire that has come out of its socket and i spliced it back in and wa la fixed it.
