"Check Fuel Cap" light & "Check Engine" lights on
Both Check fuel cap and Check Engine lights are on. I was told that the check engine light is on because the valve in the fuel cap is bad. Which in turn made the check fuel cap light to come on. Is this true? Will a simple fuel cap from Walmart work, or do I need to go to a auto parts store and buy a specific one??

well first make sure your gas cap isnt loose...but if it isnt then yes a regular gas cap from wal-mart should work

looks to be for some aftermarket alarm/ignition interlock

Well guys, I went and bought a new locking fuel cap and nothing happened. I thought that maybe if I drove it for few miles back home that the light would go off. Light is still on. Any other suggestions.

Or disconnect the negative for about 10 minutes
