The reverse lights on my '96 3.0 automatic only work between park and reverse. Once the shifter is moved into actual reverse the lights go out. So I'm assuming the shift selector is out of adjustment. Does this sound correct? And how do I go about adjusting it?

Adjust it in the tranny electrical switch connector thing. Adjust it good or else it will not start in parking.

How do I adjust the tranny switch connector thing (haha I forgot the true name for it too). Are you talking about the switch on the actual transmission or the fear selector on under the steering column?
