IF he is not able to just switch sockets so that it works I would send them back or call the maker to find out how to make 'em work.
Unless the sockets in the Third party lenses are wrong then you should be able to move the sockets around to get the correct bulb to the correct color on the lens. And since he does not say what brand they are and where he got them from it is no use trying to go farther... You need more information than he is giving to fix this problem if he can't swap sockets between locations on the lens. |

He bought a 15 year old truck. I have a '94 that had three lights, but I had to put a bed on it from a '98 with two lights. It sounds to me like someone did the same thing maybe to his. I wound up wiring cheap trailer lights from Autozone inside my brake lights to act as my night time marker lights (brown wire). Works great. FYI led's apparently don't blink without a special circuit. There is a hole on each brake light that you can run wires into.
