Exclamation Need help diagnosing No Power Issue

I have a 2000 Ranger 2.5L Automatic. over the past 3 months i have had a starting problem, i though it with the battery, then the alternator, and last the starter. all of which i have replaced. The problem is that every now and then (mostly after work to go home) i put the key in and i get nothing, not even a click from the starter, yet when i disconnect the negative battery cable and bolt it back on it starts right up. Im thinking its just a dirty connector( hopefully). if someone knows anything please let me know its becoming a real pain.

You might consider replacing both battery cables and make sure that the area where the NEG. cable attaches to at the other end is free of rust,dirt,oil...The cables do break down over time and get corroded under the insulation...

DUH Well clean the connections if it is becoming such a PITA. Obviously not too big a problem as you have let it go 3 months and now it is urgent. Please come back and contribute something as that is why newbies get a hard time here glean info and we don't hear from them again until they need more help.

Clean the connections, if you continue to have problems check your grounds. Lastly consider replacing your battery cables.
