I just bought Ford OEM fog lights for my son's 09 Ranger XL.

they fit fine into the bumpers, wires were there for hook up. I placed a relay into the Power Dist. box and it has the correct 15 amp fuse in the block. Swapped out the headlight switch for the OEM Ford switch for fog lights and no working lights. Did I miss something any help would be great.

He is in the middle east in the Air Force and he is coming home in a week so I have a little time.

I can't help with your elictrical problem but I have the 09 Ranger w/o fog lights and am considering doing the same as you. How much did that cost?
I also watch reply's, I'm sure someone here has an answer.

Are you sure the wiring for the fogs is there behind the headlight switch? I know some people on the older models had the wiring up front but the wiring to the bezel where the fog light button used to be was not there.

U more than likely do not have the wiring from relay to switch

i am think the same as STL did it first come with the fog light or not on the truck

i tried this on my 08'

i traced a wire from the relay back into the cab to a huge plug under the dash on the drivers side. at which point there was no wire from there to the headlight switch. hopeful i make some sense. so maybe its a easy harness or a wire that just needs to be run.

On the 09 the fog lights are an extra position on the headlight switch. Mine has decorative plastic inserts. A mechanic told me he thinks their may be a way to make the original switch work pulling and turning on it. Something on the back of the switch allows the extra movement. He did quite a lot of work on Mustangs for Roush
