Default Back up lamps not working

I have a 2002 ford ranger FX4 with the 4.0 V6 and manual trans. The back up lamps don't work at all. All other lights work fine, all the fuses are good, the bulbs are fine and I replaced the back up lamp switch on the tranny. Any ideas on what else it could be?

get a test light or meter.. check for 12volts/light from fuse/tranny switch bulbs...grounds...

also ive seen some trucks, guys install trailer light plugs and cut up the harness, check this if it applies..
