even really 200 amps for that price? Or should I avoid 200 amp Ebay alternators all together?

If they are that cheap they might be bad. Personally i wouldn't trust them

The ad says remanufactured .. I would check out a company called "AlterStart". I have one of their 250A alternators and it works great for all the accessories I have/plan on adding soon.
Another guy on here Buggman had a 200A alternator from the same place and as far as I know he had no problems either.

Just don't forget to upgrade your wires if you upgrade your Alternator!

Never heard of the seller in that link, but I got my 200a from that alterstart place a few years ago (on evilbay, but they have their own website too) & it's been going strong ever since. It was bit more than $100... I wouldn't trust any new or reman alternator for $100. Even if they have an entire junkyard full of parts for free, the labor to rebuild one would be more than $100 in most instances.

Also, it might say 200A but they don't give you any readouts or technical info so again I wouldn't trust it. Mine is rated 250A but at idle (800-1000RPM) its only putting out around 120A. Cruising down the highway (2500-3000RPM) it's still only putting out about 210, all according to a data sheet provided wiht the alternator lol

They definitely cost more that $100 tho; mine brand new was around $250
