Post Door lock actuator....

If anyone has replaced one of these before any info would be appreciated...Thanks!

there is 2 kinds. done both.

first is reg cab and 2 door 2ext cab. there a module that's riveted to the door down lower. drill out the rivet and replace.

next is the 4 door ext cab. which you need to take out the whole door striker 3 bolts and fish it out then you take 2 pocket screw drivers and pop it out of the striker and pop in the new one. neither are that hard just a PITA because of the tight area and the fishing the rod out of its home

Its an extended cab. It looked like it was riveted though...I guess I'll take another look. If it's not riveted then what holds the actuator in place? The rod?

its in the door lock striker. have to remove it. then pop it out of the mechanism easy to do
