Question noise from rear of engine

hi all.
my ranger is a 2000.a few days ago it started squeaking from the motor area.sounded like a pulley ps/pb/ac i took off the serp belt started it up and the noise was still there.sounds like the noise is coming from the tranny bell housing area.i do most of my own repair on my truck but this noise and location has got me stumped.

any suggestions or answers would be great.thank you.
3.o litre. automattic tranny.
