Installation is easy enough just a some bolts and some connectors, nothing hard about it at all. Just make sure each connector is fully seated. I am not sure you can reprogram it though. Unless you have the equipment already, and if you don't, well, the dealership will have to do that part.

But per the haynes manual, the original programming has to be downloaded, then uploaded onto the new pcm once its (the new pcm) is installed. Thus they(the dealer or whoever is replacing your pcm) needs to remove the old and install the new to switch programming over.
Sounds like me that 300 bucks is really cheap just to download and upload. I would call around to other dealerships, and even the larger auto shops, to find better pricing.
