Horn Swap
I searched other threads and nothing has helped. I went out and bought a Wolo 345 horn because it sounded like a blast (no pun intended). I didn't realize what I was getting into.
http://www.jegs.com/InstallationInst...25/425-345.pdf
That's the instructions that came with it but I'm CLUELESS when it comes to electrical. Could someone give me a complete step by step on the easiest way to get it to work? I've read the instructions and they include the basics but I don't know how to connect something to the fuse box or dash and I don't know how to get all the wires from under the hood connected to the control box that will be in the cab.

Re: Horn Swap
Uh, what is that isn't clicking? It is just power and ground, and a speaker. There is nothing special about this. It think you're making it more complex than it needs to be.

Re: Horn Swap
Well I had a rather large horn mounted in my hood between my relay box and battery. I removed it but that's not my factory horn and it says this should replace the factory one. Where the hell is it?
And I still don't know where to connect the red wire on the control box to, to give it power. It says fuse box or an under dash wire but I have no idea how to do either.
Look at those instructions I linked.

Re: Horn Swap
Huh? This is not a horn. This does not replace your horn. This is an electronic noise maker with a speaker you put in the grill or under the hood. It has no connection to any other vehicle system Just power. You push buttons and turn knobs to make various annoying sounds, like goats and sirens.

Haha. They left out the "never" in a rather critical place.
It is just power and ground. And wire the speaker out to the grill somewhere. If you really want that thing still.

Re: Horn Swap
I may return it if I can. If I can't, I may try and install it, if not, I'll sell it on here.
I just don't know where to actually put the wires through in the engine bay so that they come into the cab. That's my only problem. Well, that, and I don't know where to connect the red wire for power.

Re: Horn Swap
You can poke a hole through the e-brake cable grommet to get the speaker wire into the cab. For the positive wire, you can get a little thingy in the autoparts stores that will tap onto the fuse in your fuse panel.

Know the name by chance? I'm sorry. I know nothing but I'm really trying to learn.

Re: Horn Swap
They go by all different brands. In general, they are called fuse taps. In the electric section with the fuses and fuse holders.
