Corroded VSS gang plug in cab causing intermittent speedo WHERE IS IT LOCATED IN CAB?
Hey guys,
I've been having problems with my speedo, first of all it started when all the sudden one day the speedo wasn't working at all, and since it's an electronically driven transmission, it would shift out of first gear. After replacing the VSS(vehicle spee sensor) and discovering my model does not have a OSS(output shaft sensor) I gave in and took it to a repair shop. They "fixed" it, telling me it was a corroded gang plug connector under the carpet in the cab, it had gotten wet and corroded. Since then the speedo is intermittent, and always drops above 120km/h. Also the cruise doesnt work properly because it's intermittent signal from the VSS.
I want to get to the connector, and either clean or bypass the connector with soldered wire, but I'm having trouble finding where the plug is. I'm told it's under to carpet, but without slicing it up I don't know how to get to it/where to start!
Thanks for the help!
