Default Push Button and Toggle Switch Ignition Help

So I have some questions regarding putting a Push button starter and 2 separate Toggle switches for Ignition/Power, and the Fuel Pump. We would like to bypass the Key Ignition all together but is there way stop the steering column lock?

It's a 1994 2.3 Ranger that were putting together for a local speedway. Any sudgestions or advise would be great!

And if it helps... We found a Wire list on here and was able to define what wires are what, but we ran into Two Yellow (Constant Power) and two Grays that lead into the steering Column. Why Two?

Haha wow thanks, but no the ignition has been turned with a house key and is pretty much fubar. And yeah its a dirt track. And for the track they would like the option to slap a couple of toggles, rather then stick a screw driver into the steering Column.

Presuming they didn't have PATS back in 1994, I don't see why it wouldn't work. You really only need one on/off switch and a one momentary start switch. The wires are all under the column. One for ignition, one for accessory, and one for start. You'd have to tie the ignition and accessory wires together on the switch.

If you really wanted to be cool, you could get a special Off-On-Momentary switch and put the whole thing on one switch.

Awesome yeah the problem I've come up with is that I have 2 of most of those wires that lead in column. Will it matter by pluging both of those sets in to one switch.

I'm trying to think back to my '91. I think they may have done that in lieu of one big wire to be cheap. You should tap into both I think, otherwise on of them will overloaded.
