Exclamation Third brake Lights.

Okay im a girl work with me here i dont know all the terms for what the parts actually is.

My third brake light is and isnt working. the red part works but the two little white things i can not get to light up no matter what ive tryed. at first i thought it was bulbs so i changed them all and still nothing. i had my boyfriend look at the wiring and nothing looks out of place. Any ideas?

They would be great.

those are cargo lamps, the way to turn them on is really easy. you know the dimmer switch next to your headlight switch? roll it all the way up, untill it clicks and it should come on

um, i know mine are touchy and if the metal contacts dont contact the bulb it wont light. i ended up using come pliers to kinda crush it down so it made contact constantly

the socket you put the bulb in, has metal contacts down in it. and for some reason mine wouldnt work, so when i pinched it they worked. then i crushed it and they work when needed.

no. look at plugin thing attached to the light. then look at the other plugin thing that is attached to the truck. if the plug in thing attached to the truck only has two of the three holes filled with wires then your truck is not wired to have cargo lights. Then look at the third brake light plug in... it has all 3 holes filled with wires. You see why it doesnt work.
look at that and see if thats the case and get back to me?
thanks
