Default Electric help AGAIN

This AM I used my wipers and washer to clear the frost from the windshield and everything was fine... I returned to the truck later and tried to use them and NOTHING... I have no dome lights. no power windows... I looked in the book and found that all of these things are on the same relay/fuse in the system but I can not figure which one it is. Does anyone know?
Thanks,

I guess it must be a slow day on the forum but... If anyone is interested I took the truck to the stealership and found out that it is the GEM (General Electronic Module, located behind the radio in the dash) and it is going to cost around $500.00 to replace and reprogram it...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... dammit %^%&^%$*$###$%$

Ok, there is a reason its called the stealership. First go find the fuse and check it. It is well within the scamming history of dealers to make you replace $500 parts instead of changing a blown fuse.

Thanks for the suggestions B u t... I did the fuse check and also the relay check and the fuse and relay are good. A computer diagnosed the problem as the GEM. And even if you buy a used one for $75.00 on flea bay... you still have to get it programed to your vehicle. I checked, and the cheapest I could find for my particular vehicle was $119.00. And there is NO guarantee on a used electrical part. There is also no way of telling if the vehicle that the part came from had the same equipment that mine has. It is frustrating but I have to bite the bullet on this one for long term security and peace of mind

Before replacing it for $500, I would definitely try a reset to reinitialize the module. It worked on my GEM about 3 years ago with no trouble since.

Pull the negative battery cable or disconnect the GEM connectors with the ignition key off.

Thanks but the GEM has a broken part floating around inside and it is toast. I guess the heat got to it and a piece broke off. The truck is fixed for now and the bill paid I HATE COMPUTER CONTROL CARS! But that is all they make these days

I am sorry I didnt see this post earlier.

I went to USAsuperSALE and found my GEM for Total: $51.96 that included shipping. The dealer here wanted 259 bucks and it took a total of 10 minutes to install the new part
