Dude, I am having the same problem. I have a 1995 2.3L and the #25 fuse keeps blowing. This of course controls not only the windshield wipers but, but the dome light, the speedo, and the headlight warning signal (you know when you leave your headlights on, the key is off and you open the door). I am sure there are a few other things that I am not aware of.

I read in another part of the forum that it may be the GSM Module... however, I thought I would give the simple fix a try so, I tried replaced the fuse. The dome stayed on for less than 20 seconds and then it went out... right after, I saw a puff of smoke billowing out from behind the dash. It really freaked me out. Somehow, I don't think a module would do that. EEK!

I know what it is like to have a dash all apart... just got the dash back in my Mustang project so I am not looking forward to this mess at all. Makes me wanna cry just thinking about it.

If anyone has any ideas... please hook a sister up!! **prays for good news**

Go under the hood and pull the connector off the wiper motor and then put another fuse in and turn the wiper switch to on. If it doesn't blow the fuse then it's the motor. If you pull the wiper motor off ,make sure the wiper mechanism is free to move, if it isn't find why it's bound up.

Tell us what you find out!!

Torque it down till it breaks off, then back it off 1/4 turn.
